Barry Weitzel, PC | Founder

My passion for coaching emerged during my first-year coaching youth football. Taking on a team that had won only one game the previous season, and turning them into an undefeated team, I witnessed the transformative power of changing mindsets, implementing a plan, and holding oneself to championship standards each day. Though they were the same players, they now had a vision and expectation of winning. Committed to the work required to be the best, they had a coach who genuinely cared about their success. Once I discovered this formula, many championships followed.

That experience, along with others that followed, helped me understand that winning is within all of us if we know how to cultivate it and there’s nothing more rewarding than helping others reach their goals. I’ve maintained the same approach in my career in sales, leadership, and coaching, where I focus on helping others identify strengths, overcome barriers, and develop the habits required to succeed. These foundational pieces build confidence, leading to a growth mindset where continuous improvement is the norm. This consistent approach to growth becomes ingrained in who we are, enabling us to achieve our loftiest goals.

Why I created GENESIS

I feel fortunate to have discovered coaching, as it has allowed me to work with hundreds of loan officers and branch managers during one of the most challenging periods in the mortgage industry. While new strategies are needed, the foundational elements of building and growing a mortgage business remain. Unfortunately, the record years allowed many loan officers to achieve success without having a strong foundation, leaving them unprepared for the demands of the current market. This is why GENESIS exists - to help you construct a stronger business that enables you to become the best loan officer you can be.

Success in the mortgage industry ultimately boils down to forging and nurturing meaningful relationships, where trust and value unlock endless possibilities.
